Super Community-artist statement
Lesson description: In this lesson students will be learning about forming an artist statement based on artwork they have created. Instead of writing their artist statements students will be asked to answer questions about their superhero and the artwork they made regarding their superhero. The questions will ask students to talk about who their superhero is, what their power is and the reasoning behind it, and how that power helps their community. They will also be asked to explain how their artwork shows these elements of their superhero. Then their answers will become the script for their artist statement video. Students will then work in groups to record each other using a flip video camera after learning how to correctly use the video camera.
